REVIEW AND PLANNING FOR THE YEAR 2015

We want to welcome you into the year 2015. How was 2014 to you? Improving your life for 2015 must be hinged on the experiences gathered in 2014. 2014 was a great year for some and not too good for some, isn’t it? But never allow the fright of failure last year cast the same shadows on this year. Never! You must decide to move on, throw away the experiences of the past year and determine to do right this year those things you did wrong last year.
Here are some of the few review questions you should answer about 2014 before we go about planning for 2015.
1.     What were my expectations in 2014?
2.     Did I achieve my expectations?
3.     How did I try achieving my goals?
4.     Did my methods worked out right?
5.     What will I change in the New Year?
6.     Have I started taking steps?
Before going into the few simple steps to planning for the year 2015 we must understand that according to the 90/10 principles; that we can control 90% of the things that happens to us through the way we react, but for the rest 10% we have no control at all. So in 2015 some failures may not be expected but can show up and you must
choose your reactions very correctly as some of these uncontrolled circumstances shows up. Please promise yourself that you will not fail again even if you do, it won’t be like 2014.
Please read those review questions above again before seeing how you can plan for 2015. Now let us look at the following points to planning the year.
1.     What is 2015? The year 2015 must have a strong meaning for you first before it can ever mean anything by itself. Ask yourself a very decisive question: ‘what does 2015 mean for me?’ until you define 2015 for yourself, organization, or business it will mean nothing for you and will remain like just any other year. Want a different year? It must mean a different thing for you. Now pulse for a while and ask: don’t you think the failures of last year may be due to the fact that you did not define what last year should mean for you? Of course, until anything makes the first sense to you, it doesn’t make any sense at all. Never enter 2015 blindly like you did I 2014 without a definition of it. Again I ask; what does 2015 mean for you? Define it very well in case you haven’t.

2.     What is my passion? Passion is the mother of decision. Whatever it is that you have decided for the year 2015 add one last thing to it and failure won’t hold you down for too long. It is called passion! Until you become very passionate about the year 2015 it will end up like the rest of the years. Passion is one ingredient that wipes out distractions from the way. Distractions don’t survive where there is passion. A man who is passionate about something is blind to unhealthy suggestions that punctures his belief of what lies ahead.

3.     What is my goal?  The person that plans with goals has seen the big picture. You must know what the target is for the year 2015 so doesn’t end up beating the air. Your goal will save you from distractions that are not in line with what you want this year… plan very well such that you can accept or give up anything that connects or don’t connects with your goal. Your Passion for 2015 must drive towards a goal or it is just a waste of time.

4.     How do I achieve my goal? List in your plan book how you are going to achieve your goal for the year 2015; this is because your plans must be comprehensive….. What is the pathway to achieving these goals is a good question you must ask; you are the one to create the pathway! Do you want to raise finance or seek partners? Whichever way it is, create the pathway to find them. You must know the how to or you won’t achieve anything.

5.     Deadline of each goal: a wedding without a wedding date will never hold, so it is with anything you want to do. Set time limits on any projects for next year and fight hard to achieve it before or on the set date. This habit gives us great fulfillment when we accomplish anything. Divide your goals into bits and give each of them a deadline and see to it that it is achieved. Don’t jump this year into anything without these five simple steps; apply them very well and 2015 will not end up like the rest of the years.

Happy New Year All!
